#1 Mistake Worship Leaders Make, and How to Avoid IT
So just what is the number one mistake worship leaders make? How did we miss it? The answer: Taking care of our physical bodies. As lead worshipers we can get so caught up in all the aspects of the ministry that we just simply let this area slip by. But believe me this is a very important step in preparing for worship. In fact it’s important for ministry and life period.
Scripture tells us that when we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, The Holy Spirit comes to live within us. In fact our bodies become the temple of the Holy Spirit. Knowing that fact, it should be a God honoring priority for us to take care of our physical bodies.
How do we do that?
By exercising, eating well, and getting plenty rest. If we neglect any of these, our health will suffer. Which in turn will cause our service and our ministry to suffer.
To use a sports analogy: We practice and prepare through the week. Sunday, or whenever you service is, is game day!
Not to say in any way that church is a game or that we are performers, nothing could be further from the truth.
My point is this,
You must be prepared to give God your best! You must be in good health, to give your best. God deserves nothing less!
I have type 1 diabetes, so my health is # 2 only behind my relationship with Christ on my priority list. Neglecting my heath would be dishonoring to the God who created me, to my family, and to the ministry.
Try to do some sort of physical exercise 3 – 4 times a week. Whether it’s weight training, running, swimming, cycling, or whatever. Just get moving. Your body will love you for it. And you will be honoring God.
Eat a well balanced diet. I know this can be tough since we can be on the run so much. Food is the fuel for our body. If you put junk food in it, it will run like junk. Work at eating a well balance diet, so your body will perform at its best.
Try to get 7-8 hours of good sleep every day. I know some people can operate on less, some need more. But the point is, while you sleep your body refuels and repairs itself, neglect it, and your body will suffer. You need to be alert, clearheaded and well rested. Especially when leading.
Take care of your body. It’s the temple of the Holy Spirit. Exercise, eat well and be well rested. Honor God!

Do you have a healthy lifestyle? Are you in the habit of getting regular exercise daily so that you can keep your weight down, or just remain fit and healthy as you get older? Do you have workout equipment in your home like a treadmill?
If you do, you should probably know that without a treadmill mat, you run the risk of doing a lot of damage.
Now it may not seem like much to you, but the use of a high quality foam mat under your treadmill will extend the life of your machine, while keeping your flooring safe from harm.
Don’t believe me? If you have your machine on carpet, move it a few inches either way. You will see that you have severely compressed the pad under your carpet. While it may come partially back up, it will never again be as good as it originally was.
If you have expensive marble or tile under your treadmill, take a close look at it where the feet come in contact with it. You’re liable to see many things there, including permanent scuff marks from the rubber feed, stress cracks, or even full fledged cracks in the flooring.
Here’s a way the machine itself can be damaged in the absence of a pad. If the treadmill sits on carpet, those tiny little fibers will work their way into your equipment over time, mixing with the oil and grease in the system, clogging things up, and causing premature failure.
A treadmill mat is designed to eliminate these problems before they even start. It’s designed to protect the entire machine. In addition, it will help to dampen any vibrations or shocks that come from walking or running on the unit.
Finding quality mats for treadmills isn’t difficult. You can easily find them online or in stores. Most will come in the standard size of 78″ x 36″, though larger ones are available as well.
In most instances, you will want a treadmill mat that is 1/4″ thick. However, if you do a lot of running on your machine, consider getting a 3/8″ pad. Finally, if you constantly run on it, and you are over 200 pounds, you might want to try and find a 1/2″ mat.

If you have never accomplished anything in your life, chances are you have low self-esteem. You don’t know the challenge and you don’t know the great feeling you get from meeting the challenge. You’re not alone. Life doesn’t always afford everyone the opportunity to actually accomplish anything.
Most individuals find themselves lumped into a certain category, following a predestined path. Get a good job. Start a family. Work toward retirement. Raise your kids the right way. Nothing at all is wrong with a life like this. It’s solid. It’s stable. It’s reliable.
But, it has its pitfalls. Psychologically as you grow older, you realize you may have missed a true calling. You might start wondering if there was anything you could have done better. You look at the handful of people who have achieved great things and you wonder why that couldn’t have been you. This is not positive thinking. But, it is normal.
Pick up a brush and stare straight at a blank canvas. Get the feel for an image you have in your mind. If you have to, use this negative thinking that you have for the good. Imagine yourself running across a finish line first. Imagine yourself climbing a mountain. Now, paint that picture that’s in your mind.
You’re on your way to achieving a great thing, the greatest thing. You are creating. Not only that, you are learning that life isn’t over. You haven’t missed a thing. And you did your best, nothing to regret. Instead of wondering why it couldn’t have been you, it is you. Look at your canvas. You’ve achieved.
Kids who start out early in life loving art have a better chance at moving right past those awkward years where they begin to question themselves. Normal childlike thinking has the ability to set kids back and keep them from trying something where there is a chance they might fail. Kids who love art know that there is always another blank canvas and they start to look at life that way. They learn early that you can’t always succeed. The glory is in that you tried.
Adults also benefit from picking up the brush even if they have never done it before. They might catch on to this great benefit a little later in life, but it’s never too late to learn such a great life’s lesson. The sense of achievement proves to us that we can do anything. The loss or failure is taken as a calculated risk, often an enlightening one. Artists are less likely to be depressed although there are a few instances that exist to the contrary. Art breathes life into them. The next conquest, they love the challenge.
There are so many benefits to art that it is too numerous to try to count. Building a sense of self and a high self esteem is one of the better ones. Everyone should feel the feeling of being proud, enjoying life’s challenges rather than cowering to them.
An internationally known artist as well as a mother of six, Rivky Shimon founded Rivkys Art Workshop in New York. Rivkys step-by-step method for teaching children how to create and enjoy art has earned high praise from students, teachers and parents alike. Through her new training series, Rivky plans to teach artists from across the country how to duplicate her success. Not only to ensure that art education remains a vital part of every child’s life, but also to enforce the reality that “The Rivky Method” tm works the same magic for adults as well.

So what’s wrong with using free proxy sites to protect your privacy in 2009? Well there’s nothing wrong with the price, free is definitely best but in reality you get what you pay for. It takes money to run a proxy site, bandwidth costs are not cheap and maintaining hosting and a secure proxy server comes at a cost. If you are looking for a free proxy site to remain anonymous and protect your identity this is even more important.
So who Generously Supplies the Free Proxy Sites?
There are a few genuine anonymous proxy servers which can be used for free with great results – they are fast, secure and easy to use. However you will never find these on the free proxy lists you find on web sites floating about the internet. As soon as an anonymous proxy server appears on these lists the support and bandwidth costs explode and any legitimate server will become unusable. These lists (and the reason why they are constantly updated) contain proxies that have generally ‘appeared’ on the internet – usually as a result of an administrators mistake or it’s a hacked server which has had a proxy installed for use by everyone.
This is the reason that new proxy servers appearing on these lists are so prized, initially the servers may run at a respectable speed until half the internet proxy list seekers jump on board and the bandwidth plummets. When the bandwidth limits are reached the proxy server will seeks to work and the embarrassed administrator will usually realise his mistake or the hackers will move on to another target.
There are some rarer but much scarier free proxies that appear on these lists. One other way of financing the high costs of running a free anonymous proxy is to actually make money from these servers.
You may have seen free web based proxies where you type in a URL and they fetch the page back, these normally have adverts or pop-ups to finance them. The more worrying ones look extremely legitimate and are often fast and well run, mainly because they are financed by identity thieves who are sniffing all the data that is passing through. That’s probably the most worrying aspect of using free proxies, you are sending ALL your data using a clear text transport mechanism (HTTP) via a server of extremely dubious origins. The security benefits of protecting your IP address from the web servers you visit are minimal anyway but the risks are actually quite large to your identity.
There is no way I would every use one from the free proxy sites in 2009, I personally think you’re safer without them – however I do protect my identity online.

While other home exercise fitness equipment and infomercial gimmicks gather dust, treadmills continue to gain more popularity and get the results people are looking for. You can find lots of treadmills at a significant discount online, saving you a lot of money. The great attraction of a home treadmill is being able to exercise whenever you want, regardless of the weather. You can easily read a book or watch over the kids while you work out on your home treadmill.
Treadmill belt widths generally range from 17″ to 22″ and lengths from 51″ to 61″. Treadmill cushioning absorbs the force of your step; get good cushioning to lower the impact on your joints and ligaments. Choose a longer treadmill belt of 54″ or more if you or a family member has long legs.
A heart rate monitor enables a treadmill to automatically adjust the speed and/or the incline to keep your heart rate within the most optimum zone. Less expensive treadmill models require you to manually change the incline, which can be very frustrating if you want to make adjustments midway through a workout session. One feature that is absolutely necessary in a home treadmill is an emergency stop button or a safety key that automatically shuts off the power if you should stumble, trip or fall.
Display panels should be easy to read and straightforward to operate. The console indicates the belt speed and other factors, such as heart rate, miles per hour, and distance. The newest models of treadmills come with many extra features that you may not need.
One of the key things to remember is that the larger motors tend to run cooler and usually require less repair and maintenance. Features such as extra cup holders, built-in fans, CD players and other electronic gizmos may be handy but not essential for you to get an ideal workout.
Be aware the better quality treadmills can cost as much as $5000 and have a lot of bells and whistles you don’t need. Do your research; treadmills are an important investment, regardless of the price, and if it’s not right for you, you don’t want to find out after you’ve set the treadmill up at home. One indication of the likely longevity of any treadmill is to check out the length of the manufacturer’s warranty; the longer the better.
Warranties can last for ninety days or a lifetime, read the fine print. Treadmill manufacturers are competing for your business and price wars are creating big savings for buyers. Buying a treadmill online has become the way to go for most people; it’ll save you both time and a lot of money.
A noisy treadmill can upset other family members or roommates and even your neighbors if you live in a duplex, apartment or condominium. Most manufacturers of commercial treadmills found in gyms and health clubs also produce home versions.
If you’re looking for a heavy-duty treadmill that can withstand running as well as walking, be prepared to spend more money.
Less expensive treadmill models may be fine for walkers but may not hold up as well for regular or seasoned runners. When buying a treadmill, the best savings will be for an online purchase, generally saving up to 45% over brick and mortar stores.
It’s best to buy a treadmill that has at least a one-year warranty. Make sure to add the cost of shipping when buying a treadmill online; quality models can be heavy and shipping will cost more, but some manufacturers do offer free shipping.
The lack of wind resistance makes running on a treadmill slightly easier than it would otherwise be on an equal elevation grade outdoors. Whether you use a treadmill to walk, jog or run, the units are very effective at burning calories, raising heart rate and developing aerobic capacity.
To get even more workouts, think about making your treadmill into a walking, working office by adding a mini-platform to the side rails. Running or walking on a treadmill is an effective way to workout compared to other more complex cardiovascular exercises.
Make sure to take your time and choose a treadmill that fits your fitness goals. For most people buying a home exercise treadmill is going to be a major investment. You can save a lot of money by buying treadmills online. No matter what your reasons are for buying a treadmill, be sure to find one that fits your needs and the needs of your family.

There are thirteen candidates on the ballot in states throughout the country. How come the media, except for one or two, has not devoted even five minutes to their views and positions?
Several of these candidates are even hard find on their party’s websites. The American Independent Party site doesn’t mention that Alan Keyes is their candidate. In fact, it makes no mention of their party putting a name in the race.
The Green Party has put forth two women for President and Vice-President . In Cynthia McKinney, former US Congresswoman from Georgia, the party has a candidate with local and national legislative experience, the same as Democrat Obama. The Green party’s website has lots of news, analysis, local events, and critiques of Democratic and Repulbican views. Also the Greens are global, connected to Green parties in Europe through their shared political philosophy.
The Libertarian Party is the country’s third largest political party, and Bob Barr (member of US Congress, Calif.) and Wayne Root are its candidates.
Ron Paul has endorsed Chuck Baldwin, candidate of the Constitutional Party.
Over the weekend, the Reform Party endorsed John McCain.
Below is a list of parties and candidates running for President.

As a business owner you need to be wary. There are countless salesmen and marketing professionals whose sole responsibility is to separate you from your hard earned dollars. They will use every trick in the book to get you to buy. They will tell you that your business cannot survive without their product or service. They will flatter you or even threaten you into a sale. Don’t fall for the hype! Fight the urge and, as Nancy Reagan taught us, just say no!
As the primary decision maker for your business you must be cautious how you spend your money. There are people who rely on you to make good decisions so they can keep their lifestyle in tact. Whether you like it or not, you are responsible to them and to yourself. So, make spending decisions based on real business needs, not on that awesome salesman’s recommendation. Is there a valid, real business case to purchase? Can your company live without it? Will there be a genuine business advantage gained by the purchase? Will you be more efficient? Will it reduce expenses somewhere else?
All of these questions should be answered before you sign the check. But don’t take the salesman’s word for it! I realize this might come as a surprise to you, but some salesmen are not above lying to close a sale. So, make sure you check their claims. Look for reviews on the internet or in trade magazines. Find out if there is anyone else using the product or service and contact them to learn their opinions. You must exhaust every avenue before you hand over your money.
Obviously I am not talking about purchasing office supplies. By all means, buy that toner, paper and sundries. I am talking about expenses that exceed your petty cash budgets. I am talking about computer servers, software systems, new construction, electrical generators, and everything else that the accountants refer to as a capital expenditure. Here’s a hard and fast rule: If it costs more than you normally spend for a month’s worth of office supplies, then you should do some homework first.
But you’re busy, you say. You have too much to do to also be running around researching every purchase; so delegate. Get someone you trust to look into it and to develop a simple business case report which explains the economic reasons for the purchase. Instruct them to keep it simple and reduce their conclusions to a single page. If you have questions, you can always ask them to justify their positions with additional research data. A business case is invaluable when you are considering any large expense.
If you don’t have anyone on staff that is capable of producing a business case, then look to outside help. For example, if it’s a computer related purchase then bring in a business technology expert to review the matter. In order to ensure that your outside expert will provide you with an accurate analysis, tell them from the beginning that they are only being hired to produce the business case, not for the purchase of the system. Too many consultants are really just salesmen in disguise who are more interested in selling you their systems. In the computer consulting industry there are numerous reseller opportunities for consultants to earn hefty commissions by convincing you to buy from a specific vendor. So, to make sure you get straight and honest answers, tell them you aren’t going to buy from them. A real consultant (as opposed to a disguised salesman) will accept the terms and will happily prepare the analysis for you.
As a business owner you have to be smart. Don’t fall for marketing hype and brilliant sales pitches. Spend your money wisely. Learn to rely on business case reports that justify expenses that are greater than your normal purchasing rates. A business case will help you run your business better and will allow you to spend your money on the products or services your company genuinely needs. And that always helps you sleep better.

The effect of fitness workout program to weight loss endeavor is dual facet. On one hand, it can help you to overcome the plateau effect of dieting, as the body usually adapts to the lower calorie intake by lowering its consumption and therefore makes dieting less effective. On the other hand, fitness program along can help you lose extra body fat the natural way.
Obviously, a fitness program that works for one person may not work for another. Not everyone has the same build and health condition, so you need to first check out your fitness level. You can consult your doctor for a recommendation on the type of exercise that best suit you as well as some warnings against possible injuries. In case you do not have any special medical conditions, you may also consult a fitness coach in the gym or simply purchase a reputable fitness program and follow through. Either way, you need to gather ideas and put up a custom exercise plan that is both safe and effective for you.
So, what makes a good workout plan?
1. Your plan has to be realistic so that you can stick with it for a long term. There is no point in exercising your butt off if you are only going to do it for a few weeks – you will eventually gain all the weight back and more this way.
2. A good exercise plan should be progressive. Keep a record of what you did in each workout and how your body reacted to the training, and try to improve upon the structure. You may also like to take down every little achievements you have made and keep yourself motivated all the time.
3. A good fitness program should consist of varied forms of exercises to maintain your top interest level. For example, you can start each workout by doing a 30-minute cardio-exercise, such as walking, jogging, running, cycling and aerobics. This will warm up your body for more intense physical activities. You may then spend another 30 minutes with strength training, such as weight lifting, crunches, sit-ups, etc. When you finish, you can cool down yourself with some stretches or de-stressing exercises. According to fitness experts, this type of exercise can give you enormous benefits both physically and emotionally.
Aside from fitness workout program itself, there are are a few other things you can do to maximize results. For instance, you can try to find an exercise buddy so that you can encourage each other and have more fun with the exercise. You may also get creative and come up with variations of your version of exercises and rotate amongst them to keep your highest interest level.

It’s common for us to identify ourselves by our body. We label ourselves tall, short, thin, muscular, curvy, healthy, and unhealthy and so on. Very few of us are able to step outside of this definition and see our body for what it really is – a blessed vehicle which carries us through our joys, our troubles, our victories and our challenges.
Rather than define it and let that definition rule how you treat your body, because really you are much more than tall or short, thin or curvy, why not take supreme care of it. Why not treat it as the wonderful vehicle it is?
Let’s use a common metaphor for the human body, a car. They’re both vehicles which if taken care of will last you a long time. A car, no matter what style or model, will get you where you need to go. Your body, if taken care of, will do the same.
How Do You Treat Your Car And How Do You Treat Your Body?
Many of us treat our cars much better than we treat our bodies. We put only the best fuel in the gas tank, no matter how much more it costs over the regular fuel, and then we fill our bodies with food that is essentially void of nutrition. We ritually wash our cars every weekend, the metaphorical car spa and yet we don’t spend any time or money on basic self care.
We ignore the knocks and pings the very loud signals our body gives us when it needs something and yet the slightest shimmy or gurgle from under the hood of our car sends us to the auto mechanic for a diagnostic.
You might be thinking ‘but it’s dangerous to ignore these sounds from your car.” This is true, squeaking brakes or a grinding noise from the rear axel could cause an accident. However, the sounds and signals your body gives you are just as dangerous. We’ve all heard the horror stories about a friend or family member who ignored the signs and then it was too late.
Rather than continue on this path, appreciate your body in whatever shape, form, and situation it is in. It has carried you this far in life. It has taken you wherever you need to go and it hasn’t let you down. Start taking excellent care of it today. Embrace your healthy whole body because while you are much more than your body, you cannot exist physically and experience life without it.
Consider The Following Questions:
Your car will be unable to run or take you where you want to go without putting in the right grade of fuel. Are you running on empty? Using the best fuel? If you’re not, begin today to make small changes. Drink more water, replace empty calories with nutrients. Feed your body well and it’ll take you far.
Are you paying attention to the check engine light blinking on your dashboard? We’re talking about self care here, are you setting time aside for yourself, getting regular checkups, and striving for some kind of balance. You don’t have to schedule a weekly massage or a thousand dollar spa spending spree, if you can of course go for it. However, you can take a walk, take a candle lit bubble bath, spend time playing board games with your friends and family – there are a lot of ways to step back and enjoy your life, find balance, and take care of the signals your body is sending you.
It makes sense to take care of yourself in all the ways that you know how and are able to. You can wait until your car breaks down to get it repaired or you can choose regular maintenance, following up right away when you notice a rattle, a chug in the engine, wiper blades that don’t clear the windshield, any malfunction.
Finally, when the tread gets thin on your tires, you replace them right? What about when your tread gets thin? We all need to take time to evaluate our lives, where we are and where we’re going. Our needs change over time and if we ignore these changing needs we ignore who we are – not a good thing for our health or our happiness.
So, next time you’re at the gas station or washing your car step back and remember that you wouldn’t be able to do any of those tasks if it weren’t for the divine vehicle you’re residing in – your body. Take great care of it; it’s the only one you get.

You have probably read dozens of articles about how you can make shedloads of cash from eBay with little or no effort. I just hope that this article doesn’t burst the bubble . . .
That eBay is a phenomenon is a fact few could deny. It is a child of its time and its originators were both fortunate and astute in starting their business at a period of intense expansion on the part of the internet. Since the advent of inexpensive broadband access the use of the internet has exploded – I myself spend several hours each day working the web – and this is the first year when online spending could overtake the high street. So – is eBay a viable business option?
You bet it is. Having been part of a ‘normal’ business for over fifteen years I can say that, for those who may have little or no business experience, eBay is an absolute gift. Consider a few services that eBay provide:
Integrated selling and payment (Paypal) tools. Massive exposure for the tiniest trader. Buyer and seller protection – to some degree anyway. Marketing tools that would cost serious money to develop yourself. Analysis tools that most accountants would sell their mother to get.
So it should be easy for anyone to become a millionaire on eBay!
Wrong. Business, as is said, is business. If you don’t understand business, you will struggle to make it on eBay.
I’m not talking about the ‘original’ eBay dream of a community selling their unwanted goods to like-minded individuals. That business model, though still extant, is of utterly no use to anyone wishing to run an eBay business. Anyone launching on this premise will rapidly grind to a halt as Aunt Agatha’s attic rapidly empties out. So what’s needed for success?
Simple. Not easy, but simple. Any product-based business, wherever it is run, whatever its trading arena, relies on the flow of goods and cash through it to survive. If you cannot source goods to sell, the business fails. If you cannot get paid for your goods, the business fails. If you cannot sell your goods – the business fails. So how do you ensure the ongoing success of your eBay business?
Firstly, you run it like – a business. How do you do this? Look at these points:
Identify your chosen market. This can be done by searching eBay. What do you want to sell? To whom? Why? Obtain goods to supply your market. eBay or Google can be used as powerful tools for identifying possible suppliers. The internet has literally thousands of suppliers bursting to sell their goods to you. Supply your customers. Use eBay’s auction, best-offer or buy-it-now tools to market your product. If you have done your homework correctly, you are off and running!
It’s all going so well, isn’t it? Well, maybe. Do not forget some of the other aspects of running a real business. And these are?
Let’s start with customer service. To many people, this means ‘complaints’. Rubbish. Customer service starts with the sale listing and means exactly what it says: giving your customer – the one who chooses to buy from your auction or eBay shop – the best service you can. Period.
The Bottom Line: what’s that? Simply put, that’s the money left when you’ve paid everyone. Don’t fool yourself by thinking you have only yourself to pay. These are some others you have to pay:
eBay – listing fees and final value fees. These can be significant, particularly if you use some of eBay’s selling tools, especially their image listing options. It depends on the per capita value of the item you’re selling.
PayPal – don’t forget it costs you to receive money. About 5%, in fact. In context, an online trading account from a bank might set you back 2.5% to 3.5%. The difference is that with Paypal there are no setup costs. Again, this has to be balanced against your business turnover volume – there will be a point where PayPal is no longer cost-effective.
Carriage: an often-forgotten cost. This must be factored in to ensure profit. Don’t forget that carriage doesn’t just cost the price of a stamp!
Webhosts – do you have your own website? Are you getting the best deal?
To conclude this (far from comprehensive) article, I would summarise an eBay business as being a great opportunity for those who have limited funds. The entry-level cost is so low that almost anyone can build a business. Maybe you will have to start small – a lot of businesses do – but with perseverance and a real will to succeed you can definitely have your own viable eBay business – and the sky’s the limit!
